State of the City and State of the Wards reports 2007/2008

Manchester's second State of the City and State of the Wards reports provide a comprehensive evidence base to inform decisions to improve the city. The reports also provide a progress update on the State of the City indicator framework within the Community Strategy and the Multi Area Agreement/Local Area Agreement.

The State of the City report focuses at a city level and looks at performance over time. The State of the Wards report looks at performance information at a ward level and is designed to support Ward Co-ordination.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

The starting point for the partnership's priorities is the Manchester Community Strategy 2006-2015.

The partnership is responsible for delivering the three year action plan of the Local Area Agreement.  Performance is monitored and reported on in a number of ways.  These include the State of the City report; the State of the Wards report, Partnership Performance Reports and Quarterly monitoring reports. Feedback on how the thematic partnerships are delivering these high level targets is through quarterly monitoring reports to the Public Service Board. Challenge and scrutiny has been built into the Manchester Partnership through the work programme of Manchester's Overview and Scrutiny committees.
